JKAACL organizes ‘Sangam’, releases Zadoos’ Tarana-e-Watan

JAMMU, Apr 8: Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art Culture Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with Vomedh Rangmanch organized “Sangam”, a colourful musical event, this evening.
The musical event was followed by the projection and release of National Integration song Tarana-e-Watan “Rashk-e-Firdaus”, which is written by Kanwal Dibaivi and composed by Saurabh Zadoo.
The song was released by MLC GL Raina, Aziz Hajini, Secretary JKAACL, Ramesh Hangloo of Radio Shardha and MK Yogi, NC Minority Cell president.
Felicitations were also given to the theatre personality, Manzoor Ahmed Mir and singers, Dr Deepali Wattal, Sushma Dutta Kalla, Dalip Langoo, Waheed Jeelani, Munir Ahmed Mir, Saurabh Zadoo who contributed with their voices for the national song.
After the release, the program started with the presentation of Indian Classical Music by new talents Stanzin Edzes, Rouvin and Moulik introduced by Vomedh Rangmanch.
With the theme of the evening “Sangam”, vocal artist, Parvin Azad from Kashmir, presented Kashmiri songs. Ladakhi songs and ghazals were sung by Tsewang Doorje with the melodious tunes of Ladakh. Hit Dogri songs were sung by Vishakha Bhardwaj in her beautiful voice.
The evening also witnessed a special Urdu ghazal recital by talented singer and composer of the Sate, Saurabh Zadoo, who sang ghazals of Ahmed Faraz, Jigar Murabadi and many others. Another special Dogri Folk recital was performed by Dr Sudhir Mahajan who presented rare pieces of Duggar Sangeet.
The event was compered by Bindiya Raina Tikoo.
