JKAACL organises Mushaira

JAMMU, Aug 20: On the 2nd day of the 4-day Multi-lingual Mushaira being organized by JKAACL with the support of  PG Departments of Hindi, Dogri, Punjabi and Urdu, University of Jammu, a Hindi Kavi Goshthi was organized in K L Saigal Hall, Jammu here.
Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, Legislative Assembly, was the chief guest, Prof Rita Jitendra, a senior artist, writer, social worker and former Secretary presided. Besides this, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary JKAACL was also in the presidium.
The chief guest Kavinder Gupta congratulated  JKAACL for doing a splendid job for the promotion of Art, Culture and Languages by taking into confidence the youth of today especially students and scholars of the Educational institutions.
Expressing her view in the presidential address, Prof Rita Jitendra said that to hold such programmes taking with it the youth of today is very important because it plays a vital role in sensitizing the youth towards their cultural values.
Earlier, delivering his welcome address, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn expressed his satisfaction over this programme and said that a good and very positive response is being received from the general public and from Educational Institutions also.
Those who recited their poetry were:- Agnishekhar (A), Nirmal Vinod (A), Vinod (A), Dr Raj Kumar (A), M K Santoshi (A), Shyam Bihari Juneja (A), Yogita Yadav (A), Dr Aruna Sharma (A), Kamaljeet Choudhary, Shalu Prajapati, Neeru Sharma, Amita Mehta, Shivani Anand, Sudhir Mahajan, Krishan Kumar, Dharminder Singh (New Pen), Dr Chanchal Dogra, Soniya Upadhya, Dr Pawan Khajuria, Sunil Sharma, Suman Pal, Ms Bhagwati Devi, Ms Pooja Sharma, Rabinder Kumar, Ms Jyoti Sharma and Ms Jyotsna Slathia.
The programme was conducted by Azra Choudhary, Chief Editor and vote of thanks was delivered by Ashok Gupta, Editor Dogri, JKAACL.
Among others were present include: Rangeeley Thakur, Sham Talib, Dr Ashok Sharma,  Dr Baljit Raina, Ashok Gupta, Dr Padam Dev Singh, Pyasa Anjum, Mrs Sudesh Raj, Kamal Deep Singh, scholars of the PG Deptt of Hindi, Dogri, Punjabi and Urdu, University of Jammu and prominent citizens of the region.
