JKAACL announces Best Play Script Award-2015

JAMMU, Mar 2: J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages today announced the Best Play Script Award-2015, carrying a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a certificate, memento and a shawl each, in languages like Kashmiri, Dogri, Urdu and Hindi. The awards will be presented at a specially held function later.
The announcement of the award was made by Secretary Academy, Dr Aziz Hajini here today, after the recommendation of adjudicators was approved by the president of the Academy (HCM).
Announcing the winners of the play script competition, Hajini said that the award in Kashmiri language goes to Dildar Ashraf Shah for his script Tsange Gayeh Tseteh while in Dogri, it goes to Dr Gian Singh for his work Sah Basah.  In Urdu it goes to S  S  Anand Lehar for Sarhad Se Wapsi, and in Hindi to Rajneesh Gupta for Jashn-e-Zindagi.
Pertinently play script awards for the year 2015 could not be considered in respect of languages like Pahari and Gojri as required number of scripts were not received in these languages.
“In these languages, we had received only one script each though a minimum of two scripts are required for consideration of award,” Dr. Hajini disclosed, adding hopefully script writers of these important regional languages will also come forward in a big manner in future.
It may be mentioned here that in languages like English, Punjabi, Ladakhi, Balti, and Dardi JKAACL did not receive any script for the competition.
