J&K wins 2 gold in 11th National Kalaripayattu C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 14: Jammu and Kashmir won 2 gold medals in the 11th National Kalaripayattu Championship, organised by Karnataka Kalaripayattu Association, under the aegis of Indian Kalaripayattu Federation at Bangalore, recently.
Around 350 players drawn from 18 States of the country took part in this mega event.
The medal winners were Ina Dhar (gold in fighting event) and Koushal Garg (gold in fighting event).
The medallists after returning back from Karnataka were accorded a warm reception by Kalaripayattu Association of Jammu and Kashmir led by its President, Dr SM Bali, who also happens to be the Joint Secretary of Indian Olympic Association (IOA).
