J&K wins 18 medals in 4th National Taekwon-Do Championship

SRINAGAR, Aug 23:  The Jammu and Kashmir Taekwon-Do was declared the best team of the 4th National Championship which was held from 10th to 14th August 2012 at Mumbai.
The five days Taekwon-Do championship was organized by Taekwon-Do Federation of India, in which various teams from 18 States of the Country participated. The J&K State Taekwon-Do team comprising of 28 players also participated in the said championship.
Wherein J&K team begged 17 medals, which include 13 gold, 3 silvers and 1 bronze.
The J&K team was declared the top team of the championships as it obtained first position.
The Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul has received the team at Srinagar after their arrival from Mumbai. He congratulated all the participants’ players who brought laurels and topped at the national level.
The Chief Minister Maharashtra also congratulated the J&K Taekwon-Do Championship players for winning first position during the Championships. Besides, the member of International Taekwon-Do Federation also complemented J&K Team, which includes Master Kwang Mun-ko and Master Lee Jeon who were specially invited.
The High Commissioner of Korean Embassy distributed the medals among the players during the said championships and appreciated the performance shown by the players of J&K State team during the championship.
The Championship was watched by sports lovers of the country besides renowned film stars like Vinod Khanna, Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Dutt also witnessed the performance of the J&K Players and highly appreciated their talents.
