JAMMU, Feb 16: Jammu and Kashmir Weightlifting Association elected its new office bearers in its General Body Meeting held here today.
The new office bearers have been elected for four years up to 2021.
Harbajan Singh was unanimously elected as president for the 3rd term, while GR Beigh, Abdul Rouf and Ravi Singh were elected as vice presidents and Mushtaq Ahmed as General Secretary, Yudhvir Singh was elected as Secretary, while Daljeet Singh and Ajaz Ahmed were elected as Joint Secretaries and Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar as Treasurer.
The elected Executive members included Aniece Chowdhary, Bashir Ahmed, Anjuman Majid, Abdul Hamid, Ashiq Hussain, Sayeed Rashid Wani, Sanjay Kumar, Dhanraj Singh, Dayal Singh, Mahesh Sharma, Dinesh Pathania and Sunil Kumar.
Sajad Gani Lone and Vikramaditya were nominated as patrons, while Dr Nirmal Singh was nominated as Chief patron of the Association.
Observer from Indian Weight Lifting Federation, Saydev Yadav, Dr Ashutosh Sharma and Shiv Kumar Sharma also attended the meeting.
