J&K State Khelo India Championship culminates

JAMMU, Nov 16: J&K State Khelo India Championship sponsored by J&K Government and organized by J&K State Sports Council culminated today.
On the valedictory function, Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehmaan, Director General Department of Youth Services and Sports was the chief guest and Dr Naseem Jawed Choudhary, Secretary J&K State Sports Council was the guest of honour.
The overall response from the sports players, their parents and general public ends with appreciation and desire that such competitions also needs to organize in all other districts of remote areas so that more and more youngsters can be involved to develop ethics, leadership qualities, positive attitude towards life and shaping ones personality and character.
Ashok Singh, Manager MA Stadium Jammu who was the overall Incharge of this competition reported whole coverage of the event.
Among others present were Haji Abdul Qayoom, Chief Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Noor Mohammad Wani, Administrative Officer, J&K State Sports Council, Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer J&K State Sports Council, managers, section officer and supporting staff of J&K State Sports Council.
Earlier, Sanjeev Verma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu inaugurated the event in 9 disciplines on November 14.
The aim of organizing the event was to modify behavior of the youngsters through sports learning.
