J&K State Karate Championship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 13: J&K State Sub Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior Karate Championship 2017 concluded at MA Stadium, here today.
The three day Championship was organized by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu & Kashmir (AKAJK), affiliated to Karate Association of India (KAI) and recognized by Govt. of India.
Around 700 players from different districts namely Jammu, Rajouri, Kathua, Reasi, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kupwara, Kargil, Udhampur, Baramulla, Pulwama, Samba, Budgam, Bandipora, Shopian, Kulgam and Poonch participated in the tournament.
Chering Dorjey, Minister for co-operatives and Ladakh Affairs was the chief guest on the Closing Ceremony. While Vinod Kumar, Director Gulistan Channel and Maneesh Sharma, Vice-President JAKFED were the guests of honour.
Parshotam Dadeechi, Senior RSS Leader and Prant Karyawah was the special guest. Anil Gupta, Chairman AKAJK was also present on the occasion.
Earlier, Rahil Gupta, Vice Chairman AKAJK presented welcome address.
The tournament was conducted as per the rules and regulations of WKF/ KAI and under the technical supervision of Sunil Rathee, AKF Judge, 7-time National gold medalist and South Asian Gold medalist.
The vote of thanks was presented by the General Secretary AKAJK and Joint Secretary, Karate Association of India (KAI).
