JAMMU, July 31: After the final nomination of the selected Indian team and the dope test results taken by Indian Powerlifting Federation, a galaxy of players from J&K will be representing the Country in the forthcoming Asian Bench-Press Powerlifting Championship to be held at Muscat in Oman from September 30 to October 6, 2015.
The selected players in men’s senior category included Mir Murtuza (93 kg category), Rajan Jain (93 kg category), Iqbal Wani (105 kg category) and Mudasir Aziz (83 kg category), while the selected player in men’s masters category included Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar (74 kg category). J&K Sports Powerlifting Association during a meeting held in its office today in presence of general secretary, Mr Jain and secretary Narinder Singh Manhas lauded the efforts of these players for this achievement.
