J&K Grameen Bank organizes D-FLAPs at Kalsian, Danakha

RAJOURI, Mar 13: J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with NABARD, organized Digital – financial literacy awareness programmes in villages Kalsian and Danakha under the branch office Bawani and Nowshera respectively.
Area Manager Rajouri/ Poonch, R.K Narang who was chief guest on the occasion, highlighted developments in banking sector and latest schemes. He informed the participants regarding various modes of getting cashless transactions from banks, various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware and prevent cases of cheating/ corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM Cards, Mobile Banking etc. He impressed upon the participant not to use any middle man for availing any benefit from bank and approach the Bank branch directly. He laid emphasis on adoption of social security schemes launched by GoI on war footing; that shall ameliorate the lot of unorganised sector who remain deprived from such facilities.
Vipan Gupta, Senior Manager MF&FI Deptt. J&K Grameen Bank, said that cashless transactions shall not only save time of the customers, reduce their wait time in banks but also give boost to direct revenues of the Govt in the shape of tax collections utilized for development of the villages. He stressed for availing benefits of bank schemes available on hassle free manner. He enlightened people about new technologies available in the bank such as multiple uses of Bank cheques, Use of POS Machine, RuPay Debit card, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, Adhaar based transactions etc. He also made them aware about the merits and demerits of using such services and precautions to be taken care of while utilizing such facilities and advised people not to get trapped in fake calls. Apart from this, he did aware about various lending schemes tailored by Grameen Bank for general public available on easy EMIs i.e Housing loan, Transport Loan, Car Loan, Education Loan etc where rate of interest charged by the Bank is very competitive.
On the occasion, Rupay debit cards were distributed to the customers. GCCs , KCCs and Car Loans of about Rs 28 lakh were also disbursed during the programme.
Representatives of various Line Departments, Bajaj Allianz, Panchs, Sarpanchs and locals also attended the programme.
Branch Head Bawani , R K Sharma and Branch Head Nowshera, Pankaj Syal stressed upon the social security schemes including APY , PMJJBY & PMSBY and presented the vote of thanks.
