JAMMU, July 12: Financial Inclusion Department, J&K Grameen Bank under the chairmanship of RK Chhibber in collaboration with NABARD organized Social Security Schemes campaign across the State. The stress is being given on Social Security Schemes including PMSBY, PMJJBY & APY. These programmes are intended to covered the unorganized sector including factory workers, hawkers and rural agricultural labour etc.
J&K Grameen Bank has covered most of the districts of the state including Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Srinagar, Rajouri and Poonch.
At present more than 20000 PMJJBY, 38000 PMSBY and 3500 APY enrolments has been done.
The awareness regarding the various lending schemes tailored by Grameen Bank for general public where rate of interest charged by the Bank is lesser than other banks and are available on easy EMIs i.e Housing loan, Transport Loan, Car Loan, Education Loan etc was also given to the masses.
The masses are also made aware about technological innovations in banking industry including NEFT/RTGS, online banking, IMPS , SMS banking, Rupay Card, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System and Direct Benefit Transfer etc to promote the digital banking and move towards the less – cash economy.
