JK Forest Department to participate in 24th All India Forest Sports meet

Jammu, Dec 11: Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department is going to participate in 24th All India Sports meets which is scheduled to be held from January 9 to 13.
According to a handout, the 24th All India Forest Sports meet is being organised by Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change from January 9 to 13 Raipur Chhattisgarh.
About 12 teams of Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department would be participating in the 23 events including Footwall, Cricket, Athlete, Snooker/ Billiards, Swimming, TT, Carom, Chess, Golf, Rifle Shooting, Lawn Tennis and Badminton.
Forest department have selected all the teams under the supervision of Departmental Selection Committee comprising of Chairman, Asif Mahmood, Brij Mohan Sharma, Samuel Changkija, M K Kumar, sports officer and experts of Sports Council.
Forest Department has some very outstanding players who have been winning Gold consecutively for many years specially in Billiards, Snooker, Cricket and Football. Around 65 players/officials would be participating in the event.
