J&K eves enter semis in 23rd Jr National Tennis Ball Cricket C’ship

JAMMU, Feb 8: Defeating formidable Chhattisgarh convincingly in the quarterfinals, Jammu and Kashmir girls team entered the semifnals of the ongoing 23rd Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, being played at Nagpur in Maharashtra.
Batting first, Chhattisgarh scored paltry 32 runs in 6 overs, while J&K chased the target in just 3.3 overs, without losing any wicket, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Heena Bhat top scored with 18 runs, while Bisma contributed 10 runs to the total.
Earlier, J&K eves defeated Delhi and Tamil Nadu to reach the quarterfinal stage. Heena Bhat was the star performer, scoring 28 and 22 runs in these matches.
Now, J&K, Vidharbha, Goa and Uttarakhand have made it to the semifinals.
Meanwle, in boys section, Uttar Pradesh , Goa, Vidharbha and Chhattisgarh have sealed berth in the semifinals. J&K were knocked out on net run rate, wherein Vidharbha prevailed over Jammu and Kashmir.
