JK Convent School celebrates 8th Annual Day

JAMMU, Feb 15: JK Convent School celebrated 8th Annual  Day 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation, here today.
Vaid Mahajan, General Secretary PDP was the chief guest, while Kamal Gupta, President Private Schools Association was the guest of honuor and Rameshwar Gupta presided over the  function.
The programme commenced with the lightning of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest in presence of other dignitaries.
This entailed the bouquet presentation and pinning of badges.
The Principal of the School, Renuka Verma presented welcome address. She also read annual report of the school highlighting achievements of the School.
This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, managed by Megha Sharma, wherein the chief guest gave away prizes to the academically meritorious pupil of the school.
The cultural programme based on the theme ‘Utsav’  for the peace and happiness comprised the welcome dance and many colourful dance performances. The special attraction was the Play on Old Age Home which stunned everyone.
The Play was directed by Ravinder Sharma and the dances were Choreographed by Vimal Koul and Sunil.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the students for their performances and the staff for providing quality education.
Nikita Abrol and Jiniya Gupta conducted the proceedings of the programme, while the vote of thanks was presented by Rohit Bains, Chairman of School.
The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
