J&K Branch of ICAI organizes seminar on “Bank Audit & Union Budget-2016”

JAMMU, Mar 13: J&K Branch of the NIRC of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized a seminar on “Bank Audit and Union Budget 2016”.
CA Sanjay Vasudeva, Central Council Member and CA M M Khanna were the speakers on Bank Audit. CA Rakesh Kumar Gupta was the speaker on Union Budget 2016.
In the first technical session, CA Sanjay Vasudeva and CA MM Khanna gave a detailed presentation on Bank Audit whereby they outlined the challenges faced by the professionals in performing their duties as the Statutory Auditors of various private and public sector banks and answered various queries raised by the members on the subject.
Later, in the second technical session CA Rakesh Kumar Gupta gave the brief outlook of the recently introduced Union Budget 2016 outlining the changes in the provisions of the Direct Tax and answered queries on the subject.
CA Ashwani Khajuria, Chairman of the Branch, introduced the new committee along with the chief guests and speakers for the various sessions.
Secretary of the Branch, CA Ajay Kumar Gupta, delivered the inaugural address and welcomed the guests, whereas the vote of thanks was presented by Vice-Chairman, CA Sudhir Arora. He also thanked ICICI Bank for their support in making the event successful.
