J&K Bank organises KCC Camp

Jammur, Sept 15: J&K Bank organised awareness cum Kisan Credit Camp at Marh in Jammu while reaching out to the farming community.
The Bank distributed 375 Kissan Credit Cards among the farmers. This was 6th KCC Camp in Jammu Central Zone during the current financial year.
Local MLA’s Sukhnandan Chowdhry and Indu Pawar were the guests on the occasion.
President & Zonal Head Jammu Central O P Sharma welcomed the guests and detailed the achievements of the Bank
He said, “Out of 17840 KCC applications received by the zone more than 14400 cards have been issued to the farmers.”
He urged the farmers to diversify into Horticulture and Floriculture for better returns and constitute Farmer Clubs for better co-ordination with the Bank. He asked the ladies  to form Self Help Groups and assured full support of the bank to women entrepreneurs for establishing their units. Others present on the occasion were Vinay Sawhney Cluster Head, Susham Sharme Head Marketing Division, Naveen Kumar Head Business Unit Marh and various officers of the Bank besides officers of Agriculture Deptt., Sarpanches of the area and other residents.
Meanwhile, the bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting in Rajouri, which was chaired by District Development Commissioner Rajouri Saugat Biswas (IAS).
The meeting was attended by Gopal Das AGM RBI, Des Raj DDM NABARD, District officers of line departments and bankers.
Lead District Manager (LDM) Arvind Kapoor briefed the house about the achievement of banks for Q1 under Annual Action Plan (ACP) 2012-13.
He said, “Against the annual target of Rs 14952 lacs total achievement was Rs 2730 lacs out of which Rs 1451 lacs was disbursed under Agriculture sector, Rs 610 lacs under S.S.I, Rs 68 Lacs under Micro Credit, Rs 3 lacs under Education and Rs 598 lacs under housing sector. The deposits of the District have increased from Rs 1509 cr to Rs 1546 cr and advances have grown to Rs 357 cr from Rs 349 cr over last quarter.”
Total number of KCC cards sanctioned in the District was 8000 out of which 5000 cards amounting to Rs 5 crores were sanctioned by J&k bank, 2700 by JCC Bank and 900 by J&k Grameen Bank, he added.
