JK Bank dedicates business unit, ATM to Vehil people

SRINAGAR, Sept 22: J&K Bank today dedicated a business unit and an ATM to the people of Vehil, Shopian, during a function organised here.
Bank’s Executive president, Parvez Ahmad and DDC Shopian, Javaid Khan, jointly inaugurated the facilities in the presence of a large gathering including farmers, traders, students etc.
Zonal Head, Kashmir South, Mustaq Ahmad Mir, Cluster Head for Shopian, Javaid Ahmad Bhat, Incharge Marketing, MA Wanchoo, Head, Business Unit, Vehil, Abdul Rashid and other senior functionaries of district administration and the Bank were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Javaid Khan, hailed the role of J&K Bank in giving boost to State’s economy, especially agriculture and horticulture. “The creative intervention of J&K Bank in the State’s economy is both appealing and inspiring. It is acting with responsibility and a sense of commitment”, he said.
Enumerating various people friendly initiatives taken by the Bank, DDC desired that the bank in collaboration with J&K TDC, should take up Lahanthoor, a breath-taking spot in Shopian, into a tourist destination.
Parvez Ahmad said that the Bank, owing to its consistent growth and outstanding contribution to the people’ empowerment and development of the State of J&K, has become an identity and an ambassador of the State.
Earlier, Mustaq Ahmad Mir, in his welcome address assured the people of Vehil his support and cooperation. “Our endeavour would be to make you realize your dream of a better tomorrow. At Vehil, we will be providing you all the available products and services with prime focus on agriculture”, he said.
The function culminated with vote of thanks by Javaid Ahmad.
