SRINAGAR, Dec 11: Punjab International Trade Expo PITEX 2017 declared the J&K State as the “Best State” for adapting the best policies for the betterment of the artisan community.
The award was presented by Minister for Department of Local Government, Tourism and Culture Punjab Government Navajot Singh Sidhu.
The presentation and discipline maintained by J&K stalls during the exhibition while selling genuine J&K Handicrafts goods was widely appreciated.
On behalf of the J&K State, the award was received by Zahoor Ahmad, officer of the Handicrafts Department. The speakers on the occasion hailed the artisan friendly schemes of the J&K Government, being implemented through the Department of Handicrafts.
