JAMMU, Aug 14: The new high end model of the JioPhone, the “JioPhone2” will be available for online purchase on Jio.com on August 16, 12pm, and it debuts at Rs 2,999 in a flash sale.
This was stated in a handout issued by the JioPhone here, today.
It said the JioPhone is powered with a horizontal screen display and a full keyboard. The horizontal display provides a horizontal screen viewing experience and the full keyboard provides a QWERTY keyboard for ease typing.
The JioPhone aims to accelerate the digital revolution in India with extreme affordability so that each and every Indian can access the internet and enjoy the Digital Life, the handout said.
It said with the added functionaries, newly launched JioPhone 2 model and Jio’s wider network reach and strong retail presence across India, JioPhone is well on its way to enable 100 million users on this Jiophone platform in the shortest possible time.
The recently launched Monsoon Hungama Offer has also generated a tremendous response from both urban and rural areas across the country. In this scheme, any feature phone user can exchange their existing feature phone for a brand new Jiophone for an effective price for just Rs 501, the handout added.
It further said that starting tomorrow (August 15), the JioPhone customers will be able to enjoy Facebook, YouTube and Google Maps. The WhatsApp will also be available on JioPhone device soon and JioPhone users are already enjoying free voice calls and a host of applications with premium content on the go such as Jio TV, Jio Cinema, JioMusic and JioChat.
The users are also making the most of the innovative voice command feature to make calls, send messages, search the internet, play music, watch videos and operate the entire suite of applications available on the Jio Phone.
