JDA retrieves 50 kanals of prime land

JAMMU, Sept 12: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has retrieved 50 kanals of prime land.
As per official spokesman, a demolition drive was undertaken by JDA at Gole Gujaral therby retrieving 50 kanals of prime land from the clutches of the encroachers.
The demolition drive included dismantling of concrete structures as well as sheds on JDA land. The land was illegally occupied by M/s United Jhelum Road and Roof Builders for the last three years, which was retrieved and fenced.
The operation was carried out by the Enforcement and Revenue Wing of the JDA under the supervision of DS Katoch, Director Land Management JDA along with his team comprising of Narinder Kour, Collector Land Acquisition JDA, Dr Rehana Bijli, Chief Enforcement Officer JDA, Vijay Sharma Tehsildar JDA Zone A, Kuldeep Kumar Naib Tehsildar and Pankaj Singh Khilafwarzi Officer with assistance of Khilafwarzi Inspectors Parshotam Kumar, Rajinder Kumar, Rajinder Choudhary, Madan Lal, Thoru Mohammad, Faried Hussain, ROmesh Kumar with other field staff of enforcement and revenue wing of JDA.
The operation was successfully conducted with the co-operation of J&K Police under the supervision of SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta, Incharge SP City GL Sharma and SHO Nowabad Inspector Neeraj Bhagat.
PS Rathore, Vice Chairman JDA has warned the land mafia to desist from encroaching the JDA land and in case of such attempts, legal action as warranted under law will be taken against the violators.
