JDA removes encroachments; confiscates building material, tools

JAMMU, Feb 13: Taking cognizance against the encroachers/ violator, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) removed the encroachment/ unauthorized construction from JDA land bearing Khasra No.224 near Brig. Rajinder Singh Rotary/flyover and also confiscated the building material/tools being used in encroachment at Khanpur, Ware House, here today.
As per the direction of Vice Chairman, JDA  Mubarak Singh, Enforcement Wing under the supervision of Director Land Management JDA Rishpal Singh along with Tehsildar JDA Zone (A) & Zone (B)  Ashraf Parviz & Tarsem Lal, CKO Narinder Singh, KWO  Pankaj Singh Sambyal, Khilafwarzi Inspectors Booti Singh, Rajinder Choudhary, Farid Hussain, Madan Lal, including Revenue & field staff took cognizance against the trespassers and removed the encroachments/ unauthorized constructions. The building material which used by the encroacher in illegal construction by way of raising of RCC pillar was confiscated by field staff with the assistance of police. Matter stands recommended to SHO Police Station, Pacca Danga for registration of FIR against the encroacher.
In an another drive at Ware House on back side of Police Post Ware House/Nehru Market, the unauthorized construction which was raised by the owner of Shop No. 49-50, the unauthorized construction was stopped on spot, tools & machinery used in the illegal construction were confiscated and deposited  with Police Post Nehru Market.
Moreover, three un-authorized constructions which are reported over JDA land at Khanpur (near Bus Stand) was stopped by the field staff and recommended for further course of action as per law.
JDA has warned the habitual encroachers and land mafia to desist from disposing of JDA land to the innocent people on the pretext of fake revenue documents and simultaneously appealed the general public that before starting any construction work under the jurisdiction of JDA get their building plans approved for the upcoming constructions from JDA, failing which action will be taken against the violator under the provisions of Control of Building Operation Act.
