JAMMU, Jan 2: A meeting of Ram Vihar Welfare Association, Ward No 35, Jammu west constituency today held a meeting under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Sambyal to discuss the deteriorating condition of JDA Park, old Janipur.
The members said that fountain and other articles installed for playing of children have been completely damaged while there is no lightening system in the surrounding/interior part of the park due to which morning/evening walkers face difficulty.
“Besides, there is no sitting arrangement, greenery, drinking and library facility and even dustbins to throw waste”, they alleged and added that there is neither any Gardner nor any Chowkidar in the park to look after the same.
The speakers further said that streets and drainage system in the surrounding area of the park have completely damaged while roads also need immediate blacktopping. They demanded that the park be handed over to Floriculture department for proper maintenance.
