JDA employees continue strike

JAMMU, May 30: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Employees Welfare Association continued their strike for the sixth consecutive day.
Amid slogans in favour of their demands, a large number of JDA employees assembled outside JDA office and held protest.
While speaking, Mohan Singh, President of the Association demanded implementation of 7th Pay Commission and enhancement in the wages of the daily wagers.
“We are on continuous protest since May 25, but no one from the administration and JDA are bothered to listen to our demands”, he alleged.
He stated that the demands stands discussed with the Vice Chairman JDA, but nothing has been done till today.
The strike will continue till the demands raised by the Association are not redressed, Singh informed.
