JAMMU, Mar 27: Taking cognizance of un-authorized constructions, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) demolished under construction illegal structures in Doda, Rajouri and Bashir Basti of Belicharana area.
Some illegal constructions, in its initial stage, were stopped immediately on spot. The anti encroachment drive was launched on the directions of Vice Chairman, JDA R K Shavan under the supervision of Director Land Management JDA, Devinder Singh Katoch.
In the day long drive, the JDA staff of enforcement wing demolished constructions and illegal structure manually with the assistance of police, provided by the Police Post Belicharana on the direction of higher authorities.
JDA cautioned the general public not to raise any construction residential as well as commercial without sanctioned building permission from competent authority in the jurisdiction limits of Jammu Development Authority. JDA is the only competent authority to grant any Building Permission for local area as per Jammu Master Plan 2032. Besides, the Khilafwarzi team also removed illegal compound wall raised over 4-6 kanal land at Majeen where land mafia had reportedly sold the JDA land to private persons on affidavits.
The team was assisted by local police on the instructions of SSP Jammu.
