Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 12: Continuing anti-encroachment drive, the Enforcement Wing of Jammu Development Authority today removed encroachments, including an unauthorized compound wall, which was raised on JDA land in Sector 5, Lower Roop Nagar Jammu.
On the direction of Vice Chairman   R K Shavan, Enforcement team of JDA comprising of S Narinder Singh, KWO Pankaj Sambyal, Khilafwarzi Inspector Madan Lal, Parshotam Kumar, Naresh Kumar and field staff, demolished illegal constructions found on JDA land in Bashir Basti and Doda Basti at Balicharana and also removed a pacca structure in Kalika Colony (Bagh-e-Bahu) under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bagh-e-Bahu manually.
According to a handout, JDA is taking serious view against the unauthorized constructions and  land mafia who indulge in disposing JDA land illegally to innocent buyers by providing fake documents/revenue papers of some other land and handing over possession of JDA land to general public. General Public has been  therefore informed that before purchasing any land adjoining to JDA land, the buyer should  get their revenue papers verified prior from JDA  regarding its genuineness, so that they may not be hoodwinked by land mafia.
