JCCBOA demands appointment of Professional Board, MD

JAMMU, Mar 11: The Jammu Central Co-operative Bank Officers Association has demanded appointment of Board of Professionals and Managing Director with professional qualification to manage the affairs of the JCC Bank Ltd.
A meeting of the JCCB Officers’ Association was held under the presidentship of Mohinder Nath Sharma to discuss the affairs of the bank. The members took serious note that some officials of the bank with vested interests were trying to mislead the Minister Incharge and senior leaders of the ruling coalition about the proposed merger of the Co-op Banks as projected by Finance Minister in the recent budget. They impressed for strict action against the delinquent officials who are working against the interest of the institution.
General secretary of the Association, Rajeshwar Singh Jamwal  said that Incharge Minister Cooperatives has been apprised that in the absence of appointment of any Professional Board or Administrator, who know Banking, the Bank is  still headless , as there is  only one General Manager in the Bank who is also acting as CEO, and employees of the bank are eager to see the Govt  to come to the rescue with immediate implementation of the appropriate policy in hand for revival of the bank and survival of the employees as well.
The Minister for Cooperatives has also been requested for immediate appointment of the board of Professionals along with a professional Managing Director in the meanwhile to streamline the derailed system of the bank so that any further deterioration may be put to halt, he added and further informed that the Minister Incharge Cooperatives has given a positive assurance on all the issues projected by the Association.
The meeting was attended by Dileshwar Slathia, Tilak Raj, Bimal Sharma, Subash Sharma, Pardeep Singh, Bhushan Kumar and others.
