Janamashtmi, Teacher’s Day celebrated with enthusiasm

JAMMU, Sept 4: Janamashtmi and Teachers Day were celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.
128th Birth Anniversary of Dr S Radha Krishnan, was celebrated today in a grand way at Police auditorium, where students from various school participated. Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education, Information and Culture, was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the students, teachers and other guests, Priya Sethi emphasized the teacher fraternity to equip themselves with rapidly moving trends in the education system to meet requirement of today’s student.
Describing Dr Radha Krishnan as a man of high principles and unfailing dignity, the Minister said that he moved beyond being a mere academician and utilized his philosophical and religious studies in the political and social developments of the contemporary context. She asked the students to learn from his ideology and philosophy towards life which would greatly help them shine in the world with a distinct recognition.
Elaborating on significance of moral education in student’s life, the Minister said that ethical values are the essence of our Indian civilization and it is the responsibility of teachers to forward these values to young generations.
PG students from Division of Biochemistry and Plant Physiology, SKUAST-Jammu celebrated Teacher’s Day. Head of the Division Dr SA Mallick addressed the students and faculty members. Students indulged themselves in various cultural activities. On this occasion all the teachers Dr Moni Gupta, Dr Gurdev Chand, Dr BK Sinha, Dr Sachin, Dr Vivak, Dr Rajeev Bharat and President Teaching Association Dr Vikas Sharma were present.
Government College for Women (GCW), Gandhi Nagar in collaboration with J&K State Integration and Public Relation Society, Pahal – a social organization and Futurz Study Centre Pvt Ltd celebrated Teacher’s Day to pay a glowing tribute to Dr S Radha Krishnan on his birthday. Dr Pawan Kotwal, Divisional Commissioner, Jammu was the chief guest whereas ID Soni, State Commissioner, J&K Scouts and Guides was the special guest. On the occasion, Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College felicitated all the teachers for producing great citizens. Dr Pawan Kotwal in his address highlighted the importance of teachers in the life of the every human being.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr S Radha Krishnan, a gala function and felicitation ceremony was organized by the administration of GDC Kathua. The function started with Principal and teachers paying floral tributes before portrait of Dr Radha Krishnan. The teaching community was also felicitated for all their selfless service, dedication and achievements. Prof (Retd) Dhian Singh, addressed the students and teachers.
As part of Teachers’ Day celebration, GDC Ramban today released its maiden issue of college magazine ‘Zaitoon’. MLA Neelam Langeh was the chief guest while Major Jasbir Singh was the guest of honour. The students presented cultural bonanza depicting composite culture of State. On the occasion, the MLA announced Rs 3000 for giving refreshment to the college students besides paying Rs 1000 as cash prize to a student for flute concert.
Students of Government Degree College (GDC) for Women Kathua celebrated Teacher’s Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. On this occasion students honoured their teachers by presenting mementos. Principal, Dr Satinder Singh, threw light on the life and teachings of Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan and also shared his experiences of teaching with the students. The students also presented cultural items and expressed their thoughts regarding the teachings and ideology of Dr Radha Krishnan.
Teachers’ Day was also celebrated with great fervor at GDC RS Pura. All the students and teachers including Principal of the college paid tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. Principal, Dr Savitri Sharma, shed light on the life and personality of Dr Radha Krishnan and impressed upon the students to respect their teachers and follow the path righteousness in all their endeavours.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan a symposium on the theme ‘Remembering Dr Radha Krishnan’ and a cultural programme was organized at Government Degree College, Bishnah. Earlier, Prof Archana Bakshi, Principal Incharge, while addressing the students stressed upon the values and vision of Dr Radha Krishnan and encouraged the students to give their best in the field of Academic and overall development of character.
A seminar on the topic “Role of Teacher in present society” was organized today by the NSS Unit of GDC Mendhar in collaboration with Department of Education to commemorate the Birthday of 2nd President of India, Dr Radha Krishnan. The programme was presided over by Principal of the college, Dr Javaid Ahmed Qazi, who in his address stressed upon the students to extract best out of best from their teachers.
NSS Unit of GDC Udhampur organized a function in connection with the Teacher’s Day celebrations. On this occasion, Principal of the College, Prof SS Bhalwal was the chief guest. The NSS Volunteers expressed their views about the role and contribution of teachers in the society and also threw light on the life and the contributions of Dr S Radha Krishnan. The Principal also addressed the NSS Volunteers about the role and contribution of the Dr S Radha Krishnan.
GDC Poonch celebrated Teachers Day with great enthusiasm in the College Auditorium. Prof Tajinder Singh, Principal of the College, presided over the function. On this occasion, Literary Activities Committee organized a symposium on the topic ‘Relevance of Teachers in Teaching Learning Process in the Era of the Information Technology’. Prof Tajinder Singh, in his address stressed upon the students to work hard and activity participate in teaching learning process.
GDC Akhnoor organized a function in the college premises to commemorate birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. Principal of the college, Prof SP Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. The function started with lighting of lamp and paying floral tribute to Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. On the occasion, students presented colorful programmes followed by speeches on the life of Dr Radha Krishnan.
Government ITI Kathua celebrated Teachers Day with great fervor at its premises. The students presented colourful programmes. Superintendent, ITI Kathua, Naresh Singh was the chief guest. He advised the new students admitted in ITI during the current session to work hard for acquiring the Vocational Training in their respective trades so that they shall contribute to the growth and development of nation.
On the eve of Teachers’ Day, the cultural committee of GDC Surankote organized a symposium on the topic ‘Role of Teacher in the Modern Society’. The programme started with the recitation of few verses from Quran by a student. 20 students participated in the symposium. Principal, Dr Mushtaq A Lone, in his address stressed upon the students to create the congenial and thought provoking atmosphere in the college.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated by students of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET). Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET, was the chief guest and Er BR Verma, Dean Academics, presided over the function. Er Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, JGEI, Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, Vice Chairman, JGEI, Er Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, JGEI were also present. A cultural show and a documentary on Dr Radha Krishnan were presented by the students.
The students of both the branches of Model Academy and the MIER College of Education celebrated Teacher’s Day. Dr Adit Gupta, Joint Director, MIER was the chief guest while Rupa Gupta, Management Representative was the guest of honour. The students presented a play titled ‘Yes Thank You Universe’ which was based on positive attitude towards life. The young and energetic karatekas of the school also demonstrated their skills, followed by traditional Kashmiri Rouf dance, melodious song ‘Hall of Fame’ by Model Rockers. Usha Chunni, Sports Officer, Model Academy was felicitated with an Award of Appreciation. In his special message to teachers and the students, Dr Arun K Gupta, Chairman MIER, said that teachers teach students very carefully and sincerely just like their own children.
Vishwa Bharati College of Education celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival. The welcome address was presented by Principal, College of Education Prof Sunita Kampasi, followed by the colourful programme. Trikuta Degree College, Nardani-Raipur, Bantalab Road celebrated Teachers Day in collaboration with the NSS unit of the college. New Modern Degree College, Sainik Colony celebrated Teacher’s Day by organizing a symposium on the Topic “Influence of modern Information Technology in the present pedagogical approach”. Eight students participated in the symposium. Students also presented cultural programme. The chief guest of the function, Tarun Bahl gave away the mementoes to Farhana who stood first, Ashima for securing second position and Umar for claiming third position.
Vinayak Institute of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences, Kunjwani celebrated Janmashtmi. The function begins with Aarti and Krishna Vandana which were performed by students. A kite flying competition was also organized on the occasion. Students also sung melody songs dedicated to Lord Krishna. Chairman of Institute, Amardeep Singh and Managing Director Dr Rakesh Zutshi were also present.
Modern Secular Institute of Education, Laxmipuram, Chinore celebrated the Teacher’s Day. The students presented various cultural programmes. Vice Principal MK Bhan and Office incharge Rattan Lal Bhat threw light on the life and achievements of Dr S Radha Krishnan. Director KK Rao was also present.
GD Goenka Public School organized varied programmes to celebrate Teacher’s Day. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Junior Section on the theme ‘Happy Teacher’s Day’. Students also presented a colourful bonanza of songs and dances. A Group Dance Competition was also organized, in which Vivekananda House was declared first, Tagore House bagged second position and Teresa House boys clinched third position. Director of the school Sanya Bansal and Principal Dr RP Singh were also present.
Janamashtmi festival was celebrated by Junior Wing of KC Public School. The beautifully decorated quadrangle with exquisite craft displays created an ambience which was appealing and eye catching. Each house depicted a scene from the life of Lord Krishna through enactment. The rhythms of dances and melody of Krishna Ashtami song enthralled everyone. Sofia Rana, Headmistress threw light on the importance of the day.
Delhi Public School Jammu celebrated Teacher’s Day. Principal DPS Jammu, Ruchi Chabra, staff members and students were present on the occasion. The school Magazine ‘Kriti was also launched by the Principal and other senior staff members of the school. On the occasion, Ajatshatru Singh, President Rajput Charitable Trust Jammu was the chief guest and SS Sodhi was guest of honour. Many games were arranged for the entertainment of the teachers.
Teachers Day was celebrated at BSF School. A special morning assembly was held. Ruchi Behl and Gayatri Kotwal Headmaster Primary School Jammu alongwith the teaching staff paid floral tributes to Dr S Radha Krishnan. Rakesh Sharma, IG BSF Jammu FTR was the chief guest on the occasion. The day commemorated with colourful cultural programme followed by cutting of cake. The chief guest felicitated the teachers by giving gifts to them.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at APS BD Bari. The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Neeta Rawal, Principal of the school accompanied by head boy and head girl. On the occasion Brig Yashpal Singh, Chairman APS BD Bari presented gifts to the teaching and Adm staff of the school. Video presentation dedicated to the teachers was shown to students and others. This was followed by a cultural performance which consisted of a vibrant array of performances presented by the students.

Teacher’s Day was celebrated at SOS Hermann Gmeiner School. On the occasion students of class XI displayed colorful cultural events and different fun events. They presented greeting cards and flowers to teachers as a token of love and respect. Principal RK Dhar was also present.
Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar celebrated Teacher’s Day. The students of class 12th took over the charge of other classes and performed the duties of teachers. A small jhanki of Lord Krishna was presented by the students, followed by cultural items. Managing Director Gambhir Dev Singh Charak threw light on the importance of the day.
DBN Vidya Mandir, Mubarak Mandi celebrated Teacher’s Day. lD Soni, Commissioner, Scouts and Guides was the chief guest. Principal Indu Puri presented the welcome address. A short cultural programme was presented by students. Administration of the institution was handed over to the students and the teaching work was performed by the pupil teachers. Efficient pupil teachers were also awarded by the chief guest for their efficiency were awarded by the lD Soni, Manager Trust Rajinder Kakkar and Advisor Yash Puri. Director Suresh Sharma and Headmaster Shub Sharma were also present.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Luthra Public School, Talab Tillo and Shemrock Angels. Principal Sanjeev Luthra of the school highlighted the importance of the day. Debate, symposium and quiz competition besides social and cultural programmers were performed by the students.
New Era Environmental Higher Secondary School, Jain Bazaar, Circular Road celebrated Janamashtmi festival by organizing a kite flying competition. Anahat Sharma, Harsh and Anirudh Anand claimed top three ranks in the competition. Students also participated in various other activities.
SM Jain Higher Secondary School celebrated Janamashtmi festival. The students presented cultural bonanza. President Sunil Jain who was the chief guest threw light on the life of Lord Krishna. General Secretary of school Management Committee Ramneek Jain and Prof Bansi Lal and Principal Suresh Gupta were also present on the occasion.
SM Shishu Niketan Higher Secondary School, Anand Nagar, Bohri celebrated Janamashtmi. The students of junior wing were dressed up in costumes of Krishna and Yashoda depicting the role of Krishna in generating Dharma. The students of higher wing delivered speeches and also participated in Matki and Jhula making competitions. Managing Director Parneesh Mahajan was also present.
Little Flower Higher Secondary School, Greater Kailash celebrated Janamashtmi by organizing a special assembly highlighting Lord Krishna’s  birth and saviour of the world. Tulip House presented a programme on the life of Lord Krishna, followed by devotional songs and dances. Principal Meera Soni and Vice Principal S Malhotra were also present. A kite flying competition was also organized on the occasion.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public Higher Secondary School, Kunjwani Talab celebrated Janamashtmi, in which students participated actively. Prof Harbans Singh, Chairman Guru Nanak Education Trust, Administrator Charanjeet Kour, Principal Gurtaj Singh and staff members were also present on the occasion.
JP World School celebrated Teacher’s Day. Students present various colorful items. Games were also organized for the teachers, wherein Gopal and Saila Bano were given prizes. The highlight of the show was Black Hawks Band which was called by the students. Principal and staff members were also present on the occasion.
JK Montessorie Senior Secondary School celebrated Teacher’s Day with great zeal and fervour. On the occasion students of senior secondary classes played the role of teachers and taught in the junior classes. Vice Principal Geeta Dixit along with Managing Director Sanjeev Gupta and Academics Director Rajni Gupta honoured the teachers for their sincerity and dedication.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Harsh Niketan Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani. A seminar on the life and teachings of the former President and the role and respect of teacher in the society was held, in which 20 students took part. Tehsildar Sunderbani Pankaj Sasan gave away the prizes amongst the winners. MD of the School Er Ishan Sharma, Principals of both blocks Harpal Singh and Yogita Sharma, Advisor KK Khaki besides faculty members were present on the occasion.

KC Gurukul Public School, Udhampur celebrated Janamashtmi and Teacher’s Day, in which students and staff members took part actively. Ananya Kalsotra threw light on the life of Lord Krishna, followed by mime presented by the students of LKG and UKG, dance performance by Khushi, Tazyeer and many others. Principal Sagar Banerjee threw light on the importance of Janamashtmi and Teacher’s Day.
Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi were celebrated at Anuradha Mission School, KB Nagar, Bantalab. A fancy dress and debate competitions were organized on the occasion. Principal AK Pandita threw light on the importance of Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi.
Lawrence Public School, Panjtirthi and Sidhra branch celebrated Janamashtmi. The toddlers dressed as Radha, Krishna, Yashodha Maiya and Gopiyan presented a skit on the life of Lord Krishna, followed by balloons blowing, eating butter and tie-untie yourself events. Apart from this balancing a pot on head and a few other challenging contests were also held. Shakuntla Joshi, Founder Principal, Lawrence Public School was also present.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Activity Public Higher Secondary School, Janipur. A cultural programme was presented by the students. Manohar Gupta, Managing Director, Rishi Gupta, Principal, Sanjay K Koul, Vice Principal and staff members were also present on the occasion.

Teacher’s Day was celebrated at Government Central Basic Higher Secondary School with great zeal. Rajesh Gupta, MLA, Jammu East, who was the chief guest, lighted the traditional lamp and paid floral tribute to Dr Radha Krishnan. A cultural function was organized on the occasion. Students threw light on the life history of Dr Radha Krishnan and mesmerized the audience with cultural items.
The Day was also celebrated in GHSS Sunjwan. Principal, Prem Singh paid floral tributes to Dr Radha Krishnan and greeted teachers on the occasion. He also guided the students for maintenance of discipline in the institution.
The birth anniversary of Dr Radha Krishnan was also celebrated by the students and staff members of GHSS Utter Behani. A beautiful cultural programme was organized on the occasion. The students presented poems, group songs and skits. Principal, Razor Singh Sambyal, threw light on the importance of the Day.
Teacher’s Day was celebrated today with great enthusiasm in the premises of GHSS Ghoumanhasan. The programme started with paying floral tributes to great thinker and philosopher Dr S Radha Krishnan. Students spoke on the importance of the day and highlighted the contributions of Dr Radha Krishnan. Jamkash Vehicleades Pvt Ltd sponsored the prizes for 16 students who acted as teachers on the occasion.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Radha Krishnan, a function was also organized at GHSS Kathar (Manwal). Children presented a cultural programme and mesmerized the audience with their performances. Principal, Rachhpal Singh, impressed upon the students to follow the path shown by Dr Radha Krishnan.
Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Reasi also celebrated Teachers’ Day in its premises. Both students and teachers threw light on the importance of the day. Principal, PD Sharma, highlighted the role of an ideal teacher in the society. The live telecast of PM’s interaction with students was also displayed to the students.
A well organized programme in connection with Teachers’ Day was organized at GGHSS Nowabad. Various cultural as well as educational programmes were presented by the students and teachers. Principal of the school in his address gave the students valuable tips for the betterment of the students.
A function in connection with Teachers’ Day was also organized at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Gandhi Nagar. Students gave cultural performances and read out papers. A painting competition was also organized on the occasion. The function ended with distribution of prizes to the winners.
To celebrate Teachers’ day, a function was also organized at GGHSS Kandoli Nagrota. Proper arrangements for watching PM’s address to the nation were also done in the school. Principal, teachers as well as students threw light on the life and contributions of Dr Radha Krishnan.
A function was also organized at GBHSS Nowabad. The live telecast of speech of PM Narendra Modi was keenly listened by the students and teachers. Later, students presented their papers on importance of the Day. Principal, Vijay Chanyal, also threw light on the contributions of Dr Radha Krishnan in the field of education.
Teachers’ day was also celebrated at GHSS Bhalwal. Students presented various types of cultural programmes. Principal, Sarsa Ram while paying tribute to Dr Radha Krishnan advised the students to respect their teachers always.
In connection with Teachers’ Day an Inter-House Quiz and symposium on the theme ‘Dr S Radha Krishnan’ was organized in GHSS Dablehar. The radio talk of PM Narendra Modi was also listened with apt attention by the students. Principal, Suman Lata, exhorted upon the students to follow the footsteps of Dr Radha Krishnan.
A colourful function was also organized at GHSS Tikri to celebrate Teachers’ Day, where 10 students threw light on the importance of the Day. A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion.
128th Birth Anniversary of Dr S Radha Krishnan was also celebrated at GGHSS Mubarak Mandi. A colourful programme was presented by the students. The lecturers of the school addressed the students. Principal, Neelam Gandotra, impressed upon the teachers to imbibe the qualities of Dr Radha Krishnan.
Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great fervor in GGHSS Satwari. Principal, Makhan Lal Sharma, welcomed the chief guest, Deputy GOC Brigadier Randhir Singh, who advised the students as well as staff members to follow the path of Dr Radha Krishnan. All the staff members paid floral tributes to the image of Dr Radha Krishnan. The cultural items were also presented by the students.
The Day was also celebrated with fervor and gaiety at GHSS (Camp) Nagrota. Principal, staff members and children of the school paid tributes to Dr Radha Krishnan. The students also presented cultural programmes. Sweets were also distributed among the students.
GHSS (Camp) Bohri celebrated Teachers Day, the birth day of Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan with great enthusiasm and fervour in its premises. The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the Principal, Ramesh Kumar Hakim. The students acted like teachers which portrayed picture of Teacher-student relationship. Principal of the School in his concluding speech, threw light on the significance of the day.
GHSS (Camp) Durga Nagar celebrated Teachers’ Day with pomp and show in the school premises. Apart from presenting cultural items, the students behaved like teachers by taking various classes. A seminar on the topic-‘Role of teachers for rewriting the history of India and reshaping the destiny of Indians’ was also held on the occasion. The speakers from the staff included Principals Davender Handoo and Dr Sanjay Pandita, besides Headmaster Bihari Lal Koul.
Teachers Day was also celebrated at GHSS Sarwal. A cultural programme was presented by the students on the occasion. The students also planted various medicinal plants in the school premises. Later, an award function was also organized.
GHSS Jullaka Mohalla celebrated Teacher’s Day with great pomp and show in its premises. The program started with the address of the Principal, Razia Chaudhary, who expressed greetings and best wishes to all the teachers. Many students too spoke on the occasion who recalled Dr Radha Krishnan who was a great scholar, teacher and later became President of India. The program concluded with cultural programs by the students.
GHSS (Camp) Jagti celebrated Teachers’ with great fervor. The staff members as well as students paid tributes to Dr Radha Krishnan, a great scholar and philosopher. While speaking on the occasion, Principal, Santosh Kumar, exhorted upon the students to work hard to achieve their goal in life. On the occasion, students presented various cultural items and at the same time recalled contribution of Dr Radha Krishnan in the field of education. Later, meritorious students were felicitated by the Principal.
Teachers Day was also celebrated GBHSS Poonch, where Ch Lal Hussain, CEO Poonch, was the chief guest. The message of Prime Minister on television was watched by one and all including students and staff present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Hussain highlighted the achievements made in education sector after independence and paid rich tributes to Dr S Radha Krishnan, a great teacher, scholar and philosopher.
The students and staff of GBHSS Bakshi Nagar celebrated Teachers’ Day with gaiety in school premises. The live telecast of PM’s address was shown to the students. Students also delivered speeches and performed skits. Principal, Rajni Kotwal, also shared her experiences as a student with the children.
Teachers’ Day was also celebrated with pomp and show at GGHSS Sounder (Kishtwar). Students presented various cultural items and also acted like their teachers and took classes. A debate competition was also organized and winners were awarded by the Principal, Vidya Dhar.
In connection with Teachers’ Day, a function was organized at Higher Secondary School (Boys) Rajouri, wherein MLC and State BJP vice-president, Vibodh Gupta, was the chief guest. Paying tribute to former President of India, Dr Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan on his birth anniversary, Gupta said that teachers are like back bone of our society and they must realize their duties and responsibilities in true spirit. Meanwhile, the MLC announced adoption of Higher Secondary School (Boys) Rajouri as Model School.
In connection with celebrations of Teachers’ Day, a function was organized at GGHS Sonwar as a mark of tribute to the teachers for their contribution. Director School Education, Kashmir, Dr Shah Faesal, who was chief guest, in his address, said that there is need to bring back glory to the Nobel profession of teaching. He urged the teaching fraternity to work in a mission mode to improve the standards of education. Principal, Affifa Ashai also spoke on the occasion.
A function regarding Teachers Day was also held at Government HSS Sheesh Mahal Poonch, where Narinder Mohan, DEPO was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he exhorted the teachers to dedicate themselves to the cause of community as teachers are instrumental in shaping the destiny of the country. A symposium and colourful cultural program was presented by the students on the occasion.
Dr Radha Krishnan was also remembered at GHSS Bhour Camp, where in a simple function Principal, SL Soni and staff members paid floral tributes to Dr Radha Krishnan. The students of the school also honoured the Principal and the teachers by presenting self made gifts.
Teachers’ Day was also celebrated in the premises of GHSS Sohal, where students threw light on the life of Dr Radha Krishnan. The live telecast of PM Narendra Modi was also viewed by the students and staff members. All the participant students were later awarded by the Principal, NP Singh.
Shiksha Niketan High School, Gandhi Nagar celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival. On the occasion, students presented variety of cultural items. Principal alongwith other dignitaries distributed gifts among the teachers and non-teaching staff.
A special assembly was organized at Crescent Public School, Disco Road, Janipur to celebrate Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi. Students presented cultural items including skit on the life of Lord Krishna. Tasneem Kouser, Managing Director, Pankaj Jamwal, Director and Bhavna Kaushal, Principal were also present on the occasion.
Shangrilla Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival. Students and teachers presented cultural items. Principal threw light on the importance of the Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival.
Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nanak Nagar celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi. Children played the role of teachers and presented different cultural items. Principal Rita Popli was also present.
Spring Blossom’s Public School, Lakkar Mandi celebrated Janamashtmi festival. Kids attired as Radha and Krishna depicted the teachings of Lord Krishna through cultural items. A kite flying competition was also organized. Principal Divya Gupta and staff members were also present on the occasion.
Sunrise Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day at Channi-Himmat, in which students took part actively. Rajesh Sharma Trustee-cum-Chairman of Sunrise Educational Trust, Manpreet Kour, Director of the Trust and staff members were also present on the occasion.
Janamashtmi was celebrated at New Rock Land Public School, Krishna Vihar, Janipur Colony. A fancy dress competition was organized on the occasion, followed by cultural items by students. Principal Vandana Bhadwal distributed prizes to the winners in presence of Incharge Nursery Wing Reena Dogra and other faculty members.
Adarsh Balniketan High School, Kishtwar celebrated Teacher’s Day. Students took part in debate competition and presented cultural items. Head of the institution NK Bhutyal highlighted the importance of the day.
DCM Public School, Akhnoor celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival. Students enjoyed kite flying competition, matki-race and also took part in fancy dress competition. Director of the school Dheeraj Sharma and Principal of the school Rama Jamwal were also present.
May Fair School celebrated Janamashtmi at its Janipur and Chand Nagar branches. Special assemblies were conducted at both he branches. Vijay Basur, Patron of the School was the chief guest, whileas Abhey Basur, was the guest of honour. Students presented cultural items. Principal Ranjeet Kour briefed the students about the importance of the day.
Blue Bird Public High School, Old Janipur celebrated Janamashtmi festival. Students attired as Lord Krishna, Goddess Radha and Gopis presented dance items. Principal MK Dhar threw light on the importance of the day.
Stephens International Public School celebrated Janamashtmi and Teacher’s Day. The students presented cultural items. Chairman of the school Kamal Saini was also present.
Wonder World School celebrated Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi festival with great enthusiasm. The kids from Nursery were dressed as Goddess Radha and Lord Krishna. They celebrated Janamashtmi by cake cutting and distribution of sweets. The kids from the Upper Kindergarten came dressed as teachers and taught the kids of Lower Kindergarten. Teachers and Principal apprised the students about the importance of Teacher’s Day and Janamashtmi.
