‘Jan Kalyan Parv’ to mark one yr of Modi Govt on May 26: BJP

JAMMU, May 21: One year governance of Narendra Modi Government will be celebrated as “Jan Kalyan Parv” on May 26 across the country.
This was stated by Member Parliament (MP), Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas during a joint press conference here today. He was flanked by Jugal Kishore Sharma, State president and MP and Jammu West MLA Sat Sharma.
Manhas, while announcing countrywide programmes to highlight the achievements of one year governance of Narendra Modi, said that simultaneous programmes at 100 places across the country will be organized on May 26 to celebrate the one year completion as “Jan Kalyan Parv”.
He stated that in just one year more than 56 schemes and projects have been launched for the welfare of common people. He said that the biggest achievement of one year rule of Modi led Government is that not even a case of single penny corruption has been reported.
While speaking, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that AIIMS as well as Artificial Lake project are very well there for Jammu and there is no question of shelving any of these prestigious projects.
“Opposition is making a mountain out of a mole hill. BJP stands committed for both the Projects for Jammu”, he added.
Regarding passport issue of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, he said that the decision to issue passport to him (Geelani) will be taken by the Centre, keeping in view all security aspects of it.
He added that BJP has not softened its stand on anti-national activities and whosoever is found indulged in anti-national activities would be dealt with strictly.
Reacting to the statement of Jammu and Kashmir Finance Minister Haseeb Drabu that Goods and Service Taxes (GST) would not be implemented in the State, Sharma said there might be some misunderstanding and that the issue would be discussed between the State and the Centre.
