Jammu XI lose to JRA Cricket Academy by 68 runs in inaugural tie

JAMMU, June 28: Glorious half century by talented and passionate Aarav Mahajan failed to yield fruitful result as Jammu XI faced defeat from JRA Cricket Academy Jalandhar by a huge margin of 68 runs in the inaugural tie of the Jammu Budding T-20 Cricket Tournament for U-16 players, being organized by Jammu Tawi Sports Club, at GGM Science College hostel ground, here today.
Batting first, JRA Cricket Academy made 169 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 30 overs. Rishav Bajaj played a splendid inning of 64 runs while Anhad Singh and Rishav Kumar made 35 and 21 runs respectively.
From Jammu XI side, Lakshaya scalped one wicket.
In reply, Jammu XI failed to chase the target and bundled out at 101 runs for all out in 25.3 overs. Aarav Mahajan was the eye-catcher of the match with his half century, while Shubraj made 8 runs.
From JRA Cricket Academy Jalandhar side, Vishav and Ronak bowled well and scalped 3 wickets each, while Gopi took one wicket.
Rishav Bajaj of JRA Cricket Academy was declared as Man of the Match.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Singh and Sandeep Manchanda as umpires, while Sadiq Hussain Malik maintained the scoreboard.
