JAMMU, Jan 15: Jammu has witnessed a first ever ‘Pet Show’ of the State organised by Suvidha Vet Care and Research Centre – a leading pet clinic of the State.
The event was inaugurated by Dr S.P. Vaid Director General of Police (DGP) and his wife Bharti Vaid, Media Advisor.
Dr S.P Vaid while addressing the audience highlighted the significane of dogs in humans life.
The ramp walk of pets was the main attraction of the show. Pets were dressed in vibrant colors and did ramp walk. Different breeds of pets including cats also participated in the event. Best in show was Saint Bernard name Brutus owned by Saman Sudan. 25 pets won titles in different category.
Dr Bhanu Khajuria and Dr Anisha Khajuria of Suvidha Vet Care and Research Centre disclosed that they will be organizing such kind of events every year for increasing bonding between pet parents and pets.
During the function a camp was also organised, in which several dogs were vaccinated free of cost antirabies vaccine and were given free treatment.
