JAMMU, Sept 27: Jammu Wine Traders Association today made it clear that their Association has not been dissolved at all and it was working under the leadership of S. Charanjit Singh.
In a press statement issued here, the Association strongly countered the propaganda by some individuals that the Association has been dissolved and a new Committee framed in its place.
At its emergency meeting in the Association office, the Association said it had called the Working Committee meeting on August 25 in which majority of members were present and it was decided to hold elections for the new body on October 25.
“The election will be duly notified and held in transparent manners. Till then, the existing body will continue,’’ the Association said.
“Therefore, it is clarified that no other Working Committee or any other Committee has been constituted by the Association. Also, no one has been authorized by the Association to speak on its behalf with any Government authority. The duly elected Association continues to hold office till a new committee is elected,’’ it said.
