Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrates 2nd Annual Function

KATHUA, Feb 18: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated its second Annual Day ‘Prayaas-2’ with great enthusiasm and fervour, here today.
Rajeev Jasrotia, MLA Kathua was the chief guest, while Vishesh Mahajan, DC Excise Lakhanpur was the guest of honour and Dr Ram Murti Sharma (Ex HoD Govt. Degree College Kathua), was the special invitee. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the traditional lamp by all the dignitaries amidst reciting of shlokas. Sanskritians performed ‘Saraswati Vandhana’ and spread the magic by their artistic performances like ‘Papa Mere Papa and Phooloan ka Taaro Ka’.
The students also performed “Prem Se Humko Jeene Do” and presented a skit on ‘Bete Bachao Beti Padao’ conveying a message to “Save Girl Educate Girl”.
A beautiful presentation of various folk dances of J&K showing our culture touched the hearts of the gathering.
In his speech, chief guest Rajeev Jasrotia (MLA) motivated the students with his speech. He appreciated the efforts of students and staff.
Guest of honour, Mr Mahajan and special invitee, Dr. Ram Murti Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
Shuchita Gupta, Principal of the School presented Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the School.
Rohini Aima, Vice Chairperson cum Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu concluded the programme with the vote of thanks.
Finally, the students presented ‘Bhangra’ which enthralled everyone.
