Jammu printer brings laurels, bags NAEP

JAMMU, Aug 13: Jammu printer brought laurels to J&K by getting national awards during 8th edition of the National Awards for Excellence in Printing (NAEP) function organized by All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP) at Pune.
On the occasion, Javed Akhter, renowned writer and Member Rajya Sabha was the chief guest, who presented the national awards to the winners.
Arun Gupta from Arun Art Printers bagged two national awards for maintaining proficiency and quality excellence in the field of printing consistently over a period of past three decades. These two National Awards for Excellence in Printing were also conferred to fortnightly newspapers “Eight AM” and “Jammu Links”. Awards were also received by Jyoti Gupta of Creative Printers for Digital Printing and Pankaj Sethi of Sethi Art Printers for Wall Calendar Printing. Rohini Printing Industries was also nominated for NAEP this year.
In this award function AIFMP received 1850 entries in different categories including newspapers, book printing, posters, calendars, catalogue, diaries, packaging material, digital printing etc. which were divided into small, medium and big categories. This time the new editions of the award were kept for Small Printers also and the main categories including offset, screen printing, flexography, gravure, small offset and digital printing.
The function, which was attended by stalwarts of printing media including members of J&K Offset Printers Association, a total of 350 entries were awarded. The highest number of entries was received from Mumbai, followed by Kolkata and New Delhi.
This is one of the most prestigious awards in the print industry recognized by Government of India, which was hosted by the Poona Press Owners Association Limited (PPOA).
