JAMMU, June 8:  Ex-Minister for Forest, Choudhary Lal Singh today expressed dismay over the manner in which State Government has been continuing with the policy of discrimination with Jammu region by refusing to order CBI inquiry into the Rasana case.
“It seems that the administrative set-up in Jammu region is not letting the Government know ground reality. Hundreds of youngsters gather to hear me out what I say about Rasana case. They ask me when the next Maha Swabhiman Rally is.  Is this Government not for people of Jammu region?” said Choudhary Lal Singh while addressing gatherings in Naran, Balooni, Khanpur, Chan Lal Din and Mathre Chak areas of Kathua and Samba districts.
Stating that Rasana case would go to CBI, Choudhary Lal Singh alleged that those who call themselves leaders of Jammu region have gone into hibernation or others are planning to take a long sabbatical. “People are keeping an eye on your statements. They are watching everything. They would not spare you if you continue with your silence. You have to speak up today or tomorrow you would become part of the history. Jammu region would remember you for deceit and betrayal,” said Choudhary Lal Singh while adding that he would not relax till a CBI probe is ordered.
Lashing out at some self styled activists, who were hell bent to divide people on communal lines,  Choudhary Lal Singh said announced that he would not let these elements succeed in their nefarious designs. “The 8 year old victim from Rasana has united entire Dogra community.  We are just Dogras and have no other identity,” he said.
Lal Singh reiterated that the ongoing mass movement was all about dignity of Jammu region and unite people with a firm belief that CBI inquiry would be ordered for justice to the victim girl.
“Maha Swabhiman Rally would decide which way Jammu will go. Whether we  remain united and get all our issues resolved. It will send a strong message to the Government that Jammu is united and would not let anyone play with its sentiment anymore,” he said and appealed youngsters to remain united and make Maha Swabhiman Rally a grand success.
Lal Singh was accompanied by Dr Hari Dutt Shishu and several others important members of the civil society of Jammu region.
