Seva Dal organizes state level training camp

JAMMU, Feb 1: PCC vice president and former Minister Raman Bhalla today said that people of Jammu want change as BJP failed to deliver to the people of the State on every count.
Addressing 3- day State level training camp of the Congress Seva Dal at Katra today, Bhalla said the BJP miserably failed to deliver to the people of this State, who had high hopes from this party. He said that Congress Seva Dal has spread the message of peace and brotherhood and asked the party cadre to gear up its activities and strengthening of the organization at various levels. He expressed gratitude to the Congress president Rahul Gandhi for building Seva Dal as a strong wing of the party. He lauded the party workers for their service to the party and the nation at the most crucial juncture.
Bhalla referred to the vital role of Seva Dal in the Congress Party and felt the need to further expand its activities to educate and awaken the people about the policies and programme of the party. He said that collapse of opportunist alliance of PDP-BJP has left a vacuum in the State, which has to be filled by the Congress party to serve the people. He said the time has come to confront the communal and divisive forces in the State in a more aggressive manner.
He cautioned that BJP and other forces could go to any extent to mislead people on different counts for electoral gains, but we need to counter and defeat them miserably in the larger interests of the people both in the country and State.
Speaking on the occasion, State Incharge Congress Seva Dal Jawahar Sharma said that the oldest organisation of the Congress, Sewa Dal would now shun its ‘managerial’ role to speak for the party in public and associate with voters in States going in for Assembly elections and general elections in country. It will also prepare ground for the party in India for the 2019 Lok Sabha. He said volunteers associated with Sewa Dal would be trained to propagate Congress ideology among the masses through its activities.
Senior leader Jugal Kishore Sharma said that Congress is the only unifying force, which stands guarantee to secular fabric in the country, besides safety and security of the people irrespective of their colour or religion and it will continue to fight against the forces dividing people on caste, religion or regional lines.
