Jammu lifts title trophy of Cricket Tourney

KATHUA, Oct 30: District Jammu outplayed District Kathua and lifted the title trophy of the Inter District Division Level Cricket Tournament (U-14), being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Sports Stadium Hiranagar.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Jammu made 139 runs in stipulated 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Tahir made 37 runs in 13 balls and remained not out. Shavak added 31 runs in 18 balls.
Nitin of Kathua clinched two wickets by giving 16 runs in 2 overs.
In reply, Kathua failed to chase the target and bundled out at 85 runs by losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Divyansh made 29 runs in 26 balls.
Mannat of Jammu clinched two wickets in 3 overs by giving 13 runs, whereas Kannav scalped two wickets.
Tahir was declared as Man of the Match.
The winner and runner up teams were awarded with merit certificates and trophies by the DYSS Kathua.
The match was officiated by Avnesh Kumar, Mohan Lal, Rakesh Kumar Raju, Jagdish Chander and Tarsem Sharma. ZPEOs Yog Raj Sharma, Rajesh Kumar and Kailash Chander were also present on the occasion.
