Jammu hoteliers apprise DyCM of their grievances

JAMMU, Feb 7: A deputation of All Jammu Hotels & Lodges Association, led by Inderjeet Khajuria, called on Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh in connection with the problems being faced by hoteliers.
Pawan Gupta, president of the Association, apprised Deputy CM about the harassment being caused to the hoteliers by State Pollution Control Board by issuing closure notices. He expressed his concern for delay in commissioning of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) being constructed by NBCC from Government of Jammu & Kashmir. He further brought in the notice of Deputy Chief Minister about the assurance made by the Finance Minister during pre budget discussion that an amount of Rs 20 crores has been released for the completion of this incomplete project at the earliest.
The Deputy CM gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured them to convene the joint meeting of Housing & Urban Department, State Pollution Control Board & other concerned departments so that project gets completed at the earliest, thereby, giving permanent relief to the hoteliers and common people of old Jammu city.
Other members of the deputation, included Krishan Lal Gupta, Pritam Sharma, H S Manhas, Baldev Raj, Rajeev Gupta, Nishant Gupta, Swarn Singh, Sankul Gupta, Vinod Jandial and R Bargotra.
