Jammu Frontier BSF celebrates Raising Day

JAMMU, Jan 1:  The Jammu Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF) celebrated its 38th Raising Day.
The Frontier was raised on 1st January 1981 after bi-furcating the erstwhile North Western Frontier under the command of  WGJ Mudaliar,  IG Jammu.
On this occasion, the present Inspector General, Jammu Frontier Ram Awtar conveyed his best wishes to all the Seema Prahari serving in the Jammu Frontier.
While addressing the officers, subordinate officers and jawans at Headquarters,   Paloura camp, Jammu he said that in spite of heavy operational commitment throughout the year on International borders with Pakistan, Jammu Frontier BSF has achieved highest standard in various fields in the force in the pursuance of excellence.
The IG  remembered all the jawans who made supreme sacrifice of their lives while defending the borders in Jammu Frontier. He also congratulated all the personnel of the Frontier who have brought laurels to the force.
The IG  reiterated BSF’s commitment to uphold peace and tranquility on the border and extend all help and cooperation to the border population for their well-being.
