Jammu eves drub Samba counterparts to win U-14 Kho-Kho title

JAMMU, Oct 12: Jammu District girls defeated their counterparts from Samba district to win U-14 title of the Divisional Level Inter-District Kho-Kho Championship, being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at High School Jammu Cantt, here.
Jammu District beat District Samba by 4 points in the final.
District Samba beat District Kathua by 4 points.
In Kho- Kho U-17 Girls, District Kathua beat District Samba by 2 points, while in Under-19 girls, Doda District beat District Poonch by 18 points and Rajouri District drubbed District Kathua by 3 points.
In all, 212 participants of different Districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the Championship.
The competitions are being held by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ur-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director.
Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu is the Organising Secretary of the Championship.
RC Kotwal, SSP Police Headquarters Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who was welcomed by Chanchal Kour in the inaugural ceremony.
While interacting with participants, the chief guest encouraged the participants and advised them to always play with sportsman spirit and enthusiasm.
The matches were officiated by a panel of experts of the Department of Youth Services & Sports.
