JAMMU, Mar 22: Jammu and Kashmir Weightlifting Association organized Jammu District Weightlifting Competition at MA Stadium, here today.
Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer, J&K State Sports Council was the chief guest on the occasion, while S. Harbhajan Singh, President J&K Weightlifting Association presided over the function.
In 56 kg category, Manpreet Singh bagged gold, while Kapil Dev Mehra claimed silver.
In 62 kg, Nirbhay Partap Singh and Manav Sharma claimed gold and silver respectively, while in 69 kg, Manjeet Singh and Bhuneshar Singh won gold and silver medals respectively.
In 77 kg, Aditya Kundal clinched gold, while Silver and bronze medals went to Vinod Sngh and Dalip Singh.
In 85 kg, Vishal Gupta, Rishab Dogra and Namandeep Singh clinched gold, silver and bronze medals respectively, while in 94 kg category, Manzoor Hussain and Shubham Kerni won gold and silver medals respectively.
Mohit Singh Manhas and Parveen Kumar claimed gold and silver medals respectively.
Meanwhile, in women category 69 kg category, Bharti Devi won gold and Kusum Shibgotra claimed silver, while in 90 kg women category, Subi Shibgotra claimed the gold.
