Jammu District Tennis Ball Cricket C’ship gets underway

JAMMU, Dec 6: Jammu District Tennis Ball Cricket Championship got underway at Green Field ground, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Eleven teams comprising of 134 players drawn from Jammu District are taking part in the Championship, which is being organised by District Jammu Tennis Ball Cricket Association under the supervision of BK Tickoo, Organising Secretary.
Earlier, the tournament was declared open by Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu, who while speaking on the occasion lavished praise on the organisers. Jeet Singh, ZPEO was the guest of honour.
In the matches played today, YCC, Young Guns Cricket Club, Green Field Cricket Club and SCC qualified for the semifinals to be played tomorrow.
