JAMMU, Feb 15: The Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) today felicitated a Dubai based businessman in a function held at Chamber House, Rail Head Complex, on Railway Road here.
Finance Minister from J&K Dr Haseeb Drabu was the chief guest at the function. The Jammu Chamber honoured Zafar A Vakil, chairman- Marina Retail Corporation Dubai for his great achievements in the business world.
Rakesh Gupta, president Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Jammu while speaking on the occasion said that Vakil, son of the soil has made the State of J&K and India proud by creating vast network of business across India and worldwide. He also informed the house that Vakil has been conferred with many awards for constant evolution of design, merchandise mix marina home and fashion brands.
Some of these awards are: RLI Global Award in London, Dubai Service Excellence Award, Best Category Awards in UAE, Saudia Arabia, Bahrain, Oman and NRI Life Time Achievement Award at Mumbai recently.
The chief guest Dr Drabu, and guest of honour Mubarak Gul, MLA also spoke on the occasion. The prominent members of Chamber of Commerce & Industry were also present on the occasion.
Vakil extended gratitude to the Jammu Chamber and chief guest and informed that Marina has given employment to more than 700 people who are residents of J&K.
The other office bearers of CCI present on the occasion included- Rajesh Gupta, senior vice president, Rajeev Gupta- junior vice president, Manish Gupta – secretary general, Gaurav Gupta- secretary and Ashu Gupta- treasurer.
