Jammu artists showcase talent at Intl Centre for Reorichs

JAMMU, June 23: Young artists of Jammu displayed their talent by exhibiting their paintings with senior artists of Taiwan and India in an art exhibition organized by International Reorich Memorial Trust, Naggar, Kullu (HP) in collaboration with Himachal Art Heritage and ArtFort India, at the Modern Art Galleries of International Centre of Reorichs (India), at Naggar.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the chief gust, Alexender Pereverzev, a Russian Officer at IRMT. Ramesh Kumar, Indian Curator of the Museum was the guest of honour on the occasion. Jang S Verman, Senior Artist and Columnist on Art and Culture, from Jammu, Naveen Dhiman, president, Himachal Art Heritage and Prabhinder Lall, Chairperson, ArtFort India, were the special guests on the occasion.
A total of 14 artists who displayed their 22 art work in the exhibition, include Liyu Wu (Taiwan), Naveen Dhiman and Peena Koundal (HP), Dr Sushma (Punjab), Jang S Verman, Amrit Kaur, Anuradha Devi, Sahil Ohri and Shivali Jamwal (J&K), Prabhinder Lall, Harpreet Kaur and Kamaljit Kaur (Chandigarh) , Anurag Zadia and Trapti Gupta (Gwalior).
An Art workshop was also inaugurated by Larisa Surgina, Russian Curator at the centre. Ramesh Kumar was the guest of honour while Alexender Pereverzev and Dmitry Surgin were the special guests on the occasion.
Among the young generation of artists the followings are displaying their talent in art exhibition and camp at International Centre for Reorichs. Jammu based artists Amrit Kaur, Anuradha Devi, Sahil Ohri and Shivali have shown work in many international and other shows in different parts of the country. Anuradha and Sahil have had opportunity to show their works at Nehru Centre, London, UK also. The exhibition will remain open till July 5.
