International Nurses Day celebrated

JAMMU, May 12: International Nurses Day to remember Nurse Legend Florence Nightingale was celebrated with enthusiasm.
International Nurses Day was celebrated by Bee Enn College of Nurses, Chak Bhalwal, Jammu. On the occasion, Shakuntla Sharma, Principal of the college threw light on the importance of the day.
In the occasion, the chief guest was Lalit Mohan Khajuria, Executive Manager Administration BNGH, while Neelam Bhalla of BECON was also present.
Students presented group dance, mime and put up various stalls.
Prizes were distributed among the students, who were judged best in sports and cultural events. Meritorious students were also awarded on the occasion.
In the end, Rupa Pandita, Principal BNNI presented vote of thanks.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale on International Nurses Day, a week long function was organized by Amandeep College of Nursing, Jethuwal, Amritsar. On the occasion, Dr Anupreet Kaur expressed her views and highlighted the importance of the day. During the week, various programmes were organized. Principal Narinder Kaur Khehra, Administrator Navneet Kaur Chadha and college staff members were also present.
Similarly, International Nurses Day was also celebrated in Amandeep Medicity under the leadership of Dr Kanwarjeet Singh, Medical Director, Amandeep Medicity. Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar also organized a cultural program to commemorate the International Nurses Day. The chief guests Dr Kanwarjeet Singh and Dr Anupreet Singh addressed the nursing Staff.
