BHADERWAH, Nov 23: Criticizing the Central Government, former MLA and NPP president, Balwant Singh Mankotia blamed that newly appointed interlocutor by the Central Government has ignored the grievances of Jammu region.
” Unfortunately without paying any heed towards the issues raised by the representatives of Jammu region recently during  concluding tour, the interlocutor only gave attention to Kashmir issues.  And the result is before all that on the directions of Central BJP, State Govt released the 4500 stone pelters in Kashmir,” Mankotia said during public meetings in Bhaderwah area today.
He claimed that the movement started by the NPP for separate Jammu State has now  reached the hilly region of Doda. People of Bhaderwah constituency also rendered immense support of the cause.
NPP president made a scathing attack on the Central Government for its Kashmir centric approach by ignoring the mandate of Jammu region. He alleged that the  newly appointed interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma has met with people of different ideologies and various representatives during his tour of State. Unfortunately out of the grievances highlighted by the various representatives of Jammu region during their meet with interlocutor, not  a single issue has been addressed.
Mankotia blamed that on the  direction of Centre, 4500 stone pelters are released in Kashmir. He reiterated that people of Jammu region will only get their due right and justice after formation of separate Jammu State.
People of Jammu region ever remain the victim of Kashmir centric approach by the successive regimes in the State and at the Centre. Interlocutors appointed by the previous regime too, remained Kashmir centric and only recommended valley centric initiatives ignoring the aspirations of Jammu and hilly areas of Jammu region.
NPP president  highlighted the local issues of Bhaderwah and demanded opening of Degree College at Malothi  and improvement of  road from Bhala to Doogli.
Senior leaders Imtiyaz Ahmed, Banke Lal Sharma, Dharam Singh, Satwant Singh, Kuldeep Kotwal and Shakti Kumar also addressed the gathering.
