Inter-state drug peddler held with intoxicants

JAMMU, Oct 30: Trikuta Nagar police arrested inter-state drug peddler along with large quantity of intoxicants.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Trikuta Nagar police station laid a naka near RBI Chowk and intercepted a Zen car bearing registration number DL6C-2250.
During checking, police recovered 760 intoxicant capsules and 30 capsules and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Sanjeet Kumar Bhan, son of late Raj Kumar Bhan, a resident of Nanak Nagar.
The accused was bringing the consignment of drugs from Pathankote to sell the same among the addicted youths of Jammu, but Trikuta Nagar police foiled his bid by arresting him and seizing the drugs.
A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar police station Naveen Angral made the arrest under supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq, SP South Rahul Malik and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
