JAMMU, May 5: The Inter-School Tournaments in the disciplines of kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball and wrestling got underway at RS Pura and Jammu zones at City Middle School RS Pura and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar, here respectively.
At RS Pura, High School Badyal Kazian drubbed High School Rangpur Mulana by 11 points, while HSS Chakrohi defeated HS Biyaspur by 6 points in Under-17 boys kabaddi.
In Under-14 boys, City MS RS Pura trounced HS Rangpur Mulana by 10 points and HSS Satriyan got better of MS Millarie RS Pura by 9 points (21-12).
In volleyball Under-17 boys, HS Badyal defeated HS Chakrohi, while in kho-kho Under-17 boys, Basti Gulabgarh beat HSS RS Pura by 3 points.
In kho-kho Under-14 boys, MS Millarie prevailed over City MS RS Pura by 2 points.
The Tournament is being held under the overall supervision of zonal physical education officer, Hira Lal Pandita.
Zonal education officer, Veena Devi was the chief guest in today’s proceedings, while Madhu Bala, Headmaster City MS RS Pura was the guest of honour.
The matches were officiated by Govind Singh, Vivek Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Veerpal Singh, Amolak Singh and Vijenderpal Kour.
Meanwhile, the Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball and wrestling also began at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Bakshi Nagar, under the overall supervision of Kiran Jyoti, zonal physical education officer, Jammu.
School Principal, Kamala Kumari was the chief guest on the occasion.
In volleyball Under-14 boys, KC Public School drubbed HS Old Janipur and Model Academy defeated KC Gurukul, while in volleyball Under-17 boys, Model Academy trounced SRML HSS, Jammu and HSS Muthi beat St Peter School, Jammu.
In kabaddi Under-14 boys, MS Sarwal defeated MS New Plot, MS Gujjar Nagar trounced DBN, HSS Muthi outplayed Oriental Academy and MS Sarwal got better of MS Chak Changerwan, while in kabaddi Under-17 boys, HS Reshamgarh prevailed over DBN, HSS Muthi beat Oriental Academy and Hari Singh HSS outclassed SRML.
In kho-kho Under-14 boys, MS Rehari outplayed MS Sarwal, KC Gurukul defeated DBN and MS Janipur prevailed over MS Kabir Colony, while in kho-kho Under-17 boys, HS Janipur beat Oriental Academy, while SOS thrashed MS Kabir Colony.
422 players participated in the event, with 242 boys and 180 girls.
The Inter-School Tourna-ments in the girls section of above mentioned disciplines and age groups of Miran Sahib zone commenced today at JK Police Public School, Miran Sahib, under the supervision of Sarita Pandha, zonal physical education officer, Miran Sahib.
The tournament was declared open by Kiran Raina, Principal Police Public School, Miran Sahib in presence of ZPEO, Miran Sahib.
In kho-kho Under-17 girls, HS Kotli Mian Fateh beat HS Kotli Shah Dulla, HS Simbal Camp trounced HS Brij Nagar and Police Public School Miran Sahib beat HS Simbal Camp, while in kho-kho Under-14 girls, Police Public School Miran Sahib prevailed over MS Rattian, MS Chwalla beat HS Kotli Shah Dulla and MS Indian Public School Simbal Camp defeated HS Badyal Brahamana.
In kabaddi Under-14 girls, HS Badyal Brahamana beat HS Kotli Milan Fateh and MS Kirpind defeated Police Public School Miran Sahib, while in kabaddi Under-17 girls, HSS Miran Sahib beat GHS Simbal Camp, BHS Simbal Camp trounced HS Badyal Brahamana, HS Simbal Camp got better of HS Kotli Milan Fateh and HSS Miran Sahib defeated Police Public School Miran Sahib.
Army Public School Miran Sahib toppled Boys HS Badyal Brahmana in volleyball Under-14 girls, while in volleyball Under-17 girls, APS Miran Sahib got better of Police Public School Miran Sahib.
The matches were officiated by Kulbir Singh, Hardeep Kour, Kuldeep Kour, Harcharan Singh, Harmeek Singh, Gourav, Anit Kour, Nisha Sharma Narinder Kour, Mulak Raj, Surinder Kour, Parmeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Ravinder.
At Marh zone, the Tournament was held under the supervision of Chanchal Kour, zonal physical education officer at HSS Domana.
Govind Ram Sharma, Principal of the school was the chief guest on the occasion.
In kabaddi Under-17 boys, HS Gajansoo beat HS Burj Mandir, MRLD trounced HSS Domana and HSS Gou Manasan drubbed HSS Marh, while in kabaddi Under-14 boys, HSS Gole Gujral trounced MS Karloop.
In kho-kho Under-17 boys, HSS Domana outplayed HS Burj Mandir, HSS Gou Manasan beat MRLD and HS Gajansoo defeated HSS Marh.
The kho-kho Under-14 boys and volleyball Under-17 boys competitions were also held on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Pritpal Sharma, Sudesh Khajuria, Kosal Kumar, Surinder Singh, Tilak Raj, Ravi Kumar, Paviter Singh, Hardutt Sharma, Jai Krishan Pandita and others.

The tournament was held under the supervision of Sroman Dogra, zonal physical education officer, Satwari, while Nirmal Raina, School Headmistress inaugurated the tournament in a simple function.
In kabaddi, MS Sure Chak drubbed Model MS Satwari, in volleyball, HSS Mandal Phallian defeated HS Raipur Satwari, while in kho-kho, HS Old Satwari defeated MS Hakkal.
The matches were officiated by Jasbir Kour, Hardev Singh, Assa Singh, Jatinder Kour, Neelam Rani, Vishal Balotra, Vishal Singh, Rani Gupta, Pawan Deep Kour, Ravinder Singh and Rajesh Bandral.
