JAMMU, Aug 11: Inter School Sahodya Chess Tournament for senior category was held at SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, here in which 14 teams comprising of boys and girls from different CBSE schools participated.
Dr Usha Tickoo, Principal Sai Shyam College of Education was the chief guest, while Principal RK Dhar presented the welcome address.
In boys category, Harshit Gupta of KC International won the Gold medal, whereas Yaksh Chopra of Heritage School and Vivek Sharma of MHAC Nagbani bagged Silver and Bronze medals respectively.
In girls category, Arushi Kotwal of BSF Senior Secondary School bagged Gold medal while Aditi Choudhary of APS Domana and Esha Alhalawat of APS Jammu Cantt bagged silver and bronze medals respectively.
All the matches were officiated by Nitin Sethi and Amit of Youth Services and Sports Department.
The whole event was coordinated by SK Wali with the assistance of Sunita Raina.
In the end, the vote of thanks was presented by SK Wali Coordinator, Games and Sports.
