JAMMU, Nov 17: Inter-School Patriotic Singing Competition was held at Jammu Sanskriti School, here, in which students from 18 schools participated.
The competition was organized under Sahodhya and almost every school left the audience in awe.
On the occasion, the chief guest was Prasanna Ramaswany, Additional Secretary, while the guest of honour was Jagdish Dhami and Nirmal Mahana and special guest was Suchita Gupta. The judges were Sonali Dogra, Sunil Sharma and Sohail Kazmi, while the management and Principal of the school were also present.
The programme commenced with welcome song presented by school choir and the welcome address was presented by Principal-cum-Vice Chairperson Rohini Aima.
In the competition, GD Goenka clinched first position, whereas Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu and KC International shared 2nd position, Heritage School Jammu secured 3rd position. Doon International School bagged fourth position and one consolation prize was given to APS Kaluchak, Jammu. Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu as has always resolved not to keep the trophy as a host school, therefore relegated it to the next winner–Doon International School, Jammu.
