Inter-Collegiate Symposium held

KATHUA, Nov 19: The Science Club of Government Degree College for Women Kathua organized Inter-Collegiate Symposium on ‘Protect the Ozone Layer, Save Life on Earth” in collaboration with J&K Science Technology and Innovation Council, Jammu and Kashmir.
On the occasion, Dr Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the college was the chief guest, who while speaking emphasized upon the need to protect ozone layer and adopt practices so as to reduce the drastic effects of Climate Change.
In the symposium, students from various colleges of Jammu Province participated very enthusiastically.
Aditi Tikko of GDC (boys) Kathua, Skilva Mahotra of GDCW Kathua and Prachi Bhagat of GDC RS Pura bagged first, second and third prizes respectively, whereas Himanshika Sharma of GDC Hiranagar, Kajal Devi of GDC Mahanpur and Sumita Katal of GDC Samba got consolation prizes.
Prof Raj Kiran Sharma, Prof Rakesh Singh and Dr RK Manhas judged the participants.
The programme was compered by Prof Mahavi Prasher and vote of thanks was presented by Prof Umesh Chander Kailoo.
The other members of the Science Club Prof Ravinder Kour, Prof Raj Kumari, Dr Amita Dua and Dr Deepak participated actively for smooth conduct of the programme.
